In this well written article, the writer goes through step by step how the right wing conservative political movement has successfully focused people against social responsibility so that wealthy people can do as they please. This relates to the decline of the US economy because by being focused on making wealthy people the materially wealthier, the US has sacrificed all other aspects of society doing so. The result of this being the falling apart of social structure as the wealthy continue to ply money into their accounts and cry about having to be responsible for other members of society. Mr. Santelli is so outraged that he looks like he’d take off his three piece suit and start digging the ditches and doing the work the people he’s complaining about do, which he makes money reporting on and the people he praises make money by trading paper in relation to that work.
